The Laforborn Ranch was built in 1998 and is owned by Lucy Osborn.

Part of the fun of any trip is meeting new friends. We look forward to getting to know you. Here is a little more about us -

Lucy Osborn - Owner

My family has farmed in the midwest for generations. My grandparents named their farm "Laforborn" - a mixture of letters from LAke FORest College, where they went to school, with the last syllable of their surname, OsBORN. When I bought a small ranch in central Utah 30 years ago, my mother was the first to suggest the name. To me, Laforborn Ranch is the most beautiful, peaceful place on earth, and I will love sharing it with you.

JaNae Winder

Reared on a cattle ranch in Idaho, JaNae has always loved horses. JaNae and her husband Ted built a home in nearby Torrey in 2005. She began boarding her horse with Lucy and the two have become like sisters sharing not only their horse adventures but their love of gardens and music. JaNae helps with many of the duties of the guest apartment and ranch.

Rex Griffiths

When his family moved to Wayne County, at age 14, Rex thought he had died and gone to heaven. He has always loved fishing, hunting and horses. Rex helps around the ranch with feeding, watering and other odds and ends.

Ted Winder

"Somebody's gotta do it," says Ted when it comes to cleaning the stalls. Normally he is away -  somewhere in the West - as a tour guide but enjoys helping around Laforborn when he is home. Ted is married to JaNae and also helps with the Ranch's marketing and office duties. Visit Ted at www.tedwinder.com
